(More customer reviews)I've owned many earbud-type headphones, but I believe I've finally found a pair that measure up to my strict expectations.

PROS:Outstanding sound, a plethora of earbud pieces (8 pairs), solid construction, ease of functionality, L-shaped/gold-plated plug

CONS:Pricey, has the name of a true PUNK on 'em!

The sound is indicative of the standard one would expect from Monster & Dr. Dre: crisp, clear, deep, rich!I previously owned the monster beats in-ear headphones - similar, but without the ControlTalk feature - and am happy to see Monster has improved on the plug and cord-split fittings.None of the available earbud pieces with the monster beats fit my ears very well, but with these, there are plenty: especially like the foamies.The overall construction - plug, cord, fittings, phones, etc. - are durable and should withstand plenty of wear-n-tear.The ControlTalk feature is especially nice; depending on your device, volume up/down, play/pause, answer calls, and advance track.NOTE:This feature does not work with BlackBerry Bold II 9700 for some reason.Monster beats in-ear headphones did not have an L-shaped plug, which made me weary of shorting over time, not to mention it just got in the way.

You get what you pay for, but the $150 pricetag will make most consumers look elsewhere; Monster could have dropped the price on these, especially since a similar Bose model runs between $80 and $90.Perhaps the one thing I had to overlook the most was the name.I was even chastised by the Best Buy sales clerk who assisted me because she thought I was a fan of Diddy... I'll be honest, I almost slapped her!

In all, I think anyone would be happy with these headphones.The sound - as I said - is outstanding, which was exactly what I was looking for.
