(More customer reviews)I must say that these are much better than Sennheiser 140 by a long shot. I broke my Sen140's by sitting on them so I did 3 hours of research and bought the Amphony 2500's.

Pros:
1. 4 batteries come with the unit. Headphone Battery Compartments easily open by pushing in on the outer edge. 1 Battery per cup and it's a cinch. DO NOT PRY the cup doors open!

2. The swivel range is just what you need whereas the senheisser model is much more floppy. The cups stay under control much better on the amphony.

3. The BASE. The Amphony 2500's deliver a nicer base period. No pushing, no pounding and no extra effort applied to my ears. Not only is it better than the seinheisser 140 but I think it's about three times as good. Base bravo base bravo to Amphony.

Cons: 1. The friggin volume control is on the rear side of the right cup and just like the seihneisser 140's - the volume can be changed by sitting back into my sofa. It hurts - it sucks - it makes me wonder if consumer application testing was done correctly. The volume control should be relocated 6mm up and 4mm inward from where it is now. There's a push button volume control on my fiio E5 headphone amplifier that would fit nicely into the current amphony volume control slot.

2. Only one optical input. Two or even three would be better with a selector either at the transmitter or even better - on the headset itself. I had to buy an Optical TOSlink Audio Selector Switch for 70 bucks so i could hear Directv and PS3 through my Amphony earcans.

My Summary: excellent, refined sound quality. Rugged enough to go camping with. They're the best out there and with a few minor changes and options like skins for the transmitter and cups would be really neat. Amphony 2500 = Excellent purchase.
