One of my sons is an audiophile headphone junkie. He lent me an excellent set of phones and told me to get this unit. I did and it just sounded fantastic. I have a low high end audio system so I think I have some basis for judgment.

But, I'm really not a phones type of guy. But this unit can power my PC speakers. What a difference!! Youtube music videos now were actually listenable!!!

In addition, when I flew cross country I took this unit with my netbook and a set of noise canceling phones. I spent most of the flight listening to music at audio quality so superior to what I had ever experienced on a plane. And I never before had been impressed with the audio quality of these phones, mostly listening through my ipod.

I got great support from the company that makes this when I had a problem with another one of their products. I even got a call from their main tech guy/designer!
