My wife has experienced severe hearing loss and wears hearing aids, however with the Sennheiser set830 TV listening system she can hear everything on TV very distinctly, without wearing hearing aids.The ear phones are very comfortable, much better than the old large muff set she used to have.The only problem she has experienced is that the volume on the TV must be turned up to a medium level to insure a constant audio signal. This does not present a problem since anyone listening with her is not being blasted out of the room.Most of the time she can play the TV at a lower level anyway.The volume control has a large range and is very effective in providing enough sound for her to hear every word spoken.The extra controls are easily adjusted to maximize clarity for soft spoken voice and adjusting the treble.So far this set has been outstanding.Anyone needing a boost with their TV hearing, and wants a real piece of technology, the 830 TV listener is the answer.
