(More customer reviews)The sound quality of these is quite good, with the black filters the bass is very good.I had Etymotic ER6i's before this and the bass for the Phonak's is significantly better ...that is when you can get isolation.I use both the large tips for both headsets and the Ety's are significantly better at isolation.Neither is very easy to get seated correctly in the ear, but once the Ety's are there, they're not going to move unless you jerk the cord.The Phonak's on the other hand will slowly work their way out.

I wasn't thrilled at first with the loop behind the ear, but eventually I got used to it.Also, the included guides work quite well when on your ears.However when you take them off, they act like fish hooks and get very tangled in the wires.It's bearable but annoying.Now I rarely use them and I don't miss them much.

The build quality of the pair I have is very good.The Ety's I had to sent them back 3 times because the wire shorted.Ety's customer service is great, but you really don't want to find out how good they are that often.

In summary, I'd be torn in determining which I'd purchase again.To me it's a toss up.
