(More customer reviews)I bought these headphones to replace an earlier set of Sennheiser headphones, which have over the years behaved remarkably well.I held the same high hopes for this newer version.I was dismayed.I wanted a second set of headphones so that I would not have to unplug the only ones I had in order to service a second television.
Both headphones use the IR system, that is, a line of sight from the transmitter to the headphones.The older headphones received the signals even if I put my hands in front of the device, or raised my arm to scratch my face, or moved even slighly out of the line-of-sight.The older hadphones would pick up the reflected signal. There is no such indulgence on the new headphones.My cat jumped on my lap, and the headphones went momentarily dead.I scratched my forehead;my arm inadvertently blocked the headphones, and they went dead.I sat behind a vase; the headphones went dead.This never happened on my older set but made the updated ones for me unusable.I returned them to Amazon and, as usual, the company was very understanding and gave me a refund.
