(More customer reviews)I have had a pair of Shure E2C earphones for nearly three years and I absolutely love them: perfect fit, great sound. I finally had to look for another set because the wire jacket began to crack and got progressively worse to the point where the wire is now fully exposed and starting to unravel. Since they are past their warranty, Shure wanted $60 plus shipping to repair them, so I decided to look around and try one of their newer models. I found these SE110's for $49.95 on clearance (regular $119.99, I paid $99 for the E2C's), so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I was mistaken. While the sound quality is better than you will find on any other $50 earphones, it is definitely not worth $120, and not nearly as good as the E2C's; and the design has changed for the worse also. My E2C's fit perfectly and comfortably in my ears using the medium size Flex sleeves, forming a great sound-isolating seal. The SE110's have a slightly different shape, and I have tried all of the included Flex and Black Foam sleeves and cannot get a comparable fit. I am now thinking I should have just spent the money to have my E2C's repaired. I never thought a Shure product which was supposed to be a newer model of my current product could be so much worse.
