Let me start by saying that I like these headphones a lot.I bought them after comparing them side by side with my Etymotic ER-6i.I went back and forth listening to the same music on my own iPod and there was just no denying the vastly superior sound of these headphones. They reproduced the highs with amazing clarity, but what blew me away was the bass.By comparison my ER-6i sounded very flat and muffled.I would compare the bass output of these Klipsch to that of Skullcandy, which is very boomy, but unlike Skullcandy which gives all the bass at the expense of the mids and the highs, Klipsch sounds great across the entire frequency range.

The ear tips on these headphones are great.Their oval shape really does fit better in the ear than the round shape of ER-6i or Shure. The silicone from which they are made also seems better because these tips are very soft and almost gel-like.The whole shape of the headphones is very small and they almost completely disappear in your ear.I think these are the sleekest ear buds on the market today.

I have a couple of minor gripes with these headphones however.First, the iPhone remote song skip feature doesn't work more than half the time. The center button on the remote may be used to pause/resume the play as well as skip a track forward with two rapid presses and backwards with three rapid presses. It does the pausing and resuming well with one button press, but more often than not the skipping doesn't work.I've tried pressing the button quickly and slowly and it just doesn't register every time with my iPhone 3Gs.Sometimes instead of skipping a track the play will be paused like with a single press.I would say that about 30% of the time I can get the skipping to work, but now I expect that it will take more than one attempt with the remote. The volume buttons work perfectly.I haven't tried using these headphones to receive phone calls, so I don't know how well the buttons and the mic work in those cases, but I don't expect any problems.

Another minor disappointment is with the shape of the wire plug that is straight and appears to be fragile.I don't know why Klipsch Image X10 comes with a bent plug, but these are straight.I would much rather prefer a 90-degree plug that is both esthetically and functionally better.I think a bent plug is also more durable when the iPhone/iPod is carried in the pocket and there's pressure on the chord.

So other than the shape of the chord plug and the skipping feature of the remote not working all the time I like these headphones. They cost as much as Image X10 that has no remote, so even if the skipping doesn't always work, the other capabilities of the remote still make this the obvious choice for the high end headphones.
