I actually let them burn in before I ever listened to them. )anout 50 hours) And honestly haven't heard much change since then. I really continue to love this set. A wonderful sounding, but not the most technically accurate iem. The coppers, are maybe more accurate. I think it's still not fair to compare this set to any other, they are very involvong, even without the most detail I've ever heard. I'm not sure what Monster was aiming for, I don't hear them as being "jazz" tuned, although they do sound great with jazz. A very high level of musicality here.
My opinions on the Gold and Copper are already in another review. I am not going to compare this set with any other. I donn't really see the need. I got these 5 days ago, and have been very happy. It was not purchased by me, but was a gift from my wonderful wife. This set comes with many extras, a hard case (with a sticker in it giving your set a unique ID).
The hard case has a silkscreen of miles, as does one of the pouches. It also comes with two cd's, and a dvd. It's quite different to look at. And I like them very much. I have so many sets of iem's it's getting harder and harder to find the time to listen to them all. I for one, find the Miles Davis Tribute set, a truly outstanding set of iem's. A very enjoyable listening experience. Very nice mids, the soundstage sort of recreates a small zazz club. I really find the sound extremely well defined across the range. Any kind of music sounds fantastic. It really is a warm feeling. And very easy to forget you're wearing them. I have an idea, these will be among my very favorite iem's. They really soothe you, very involving, yet not harsh, and that's a pretty good start. I can't imagine not liking these unless you are looking for a more refernce style sound. For really enjoying the music, these deliver big time. Hope this review helps since no one else has posted one yet. I give this fine set a very high praise for enjoying what matters..the music. I do not want to compare them with any other iem....They are a unique set, and in my opinion worthy of the tribute staus. Are they the beast iem in the world? No such thing exists (at least for all people)
