The PC350 is more for competitive play, focusing on speech clarity and voice recognition (read: cold, harsh audio signature) while the MMX300 is the overall better headphone (read: natural, full sound).
The MMX300 mic is slightly more noisy than the PC350 mic, but not very noticeable during play.
I own both the PC350 and MMX300. The headsets were auditioned using an ASUS Xonar D2X sound card and the Beyerdynamic USB sound card.

SteelSound 3H Retractable Headset (20067) Review

(More customer reviews)I'm stingy with stars, so most folks would probably give this a five.I travel a lot with my laptop (even if it's just down to the coffeeshop) so a headset that allows me to pack up and set up quickly is good.I've spent maybe $10 less for several headsets that were flimsy, but the cords on this device are amazing.It would take an intentional act of vandalism and perhaps a sharp object to pull loose any of the cable joins on this.They are really well put together.

The retractible mic is great, and it's flexible, so I can adjust it to not be deadly annoying.The gain and sensitivity is great.It's good for skype (which I use extensively for international calls for work) and gaming (Turbine in-game chat, ventrilo, teamspeak, what have you).

The only thing I miss is an in-line volume control.

All in all, a well-designed, well-engineered device, which I expect will last me far longer than the less costly but cheaply made headsets I've had in the past.

PLANTRONIC Calisto Headset with USB Dongle - 81493-02 Review

(More customer reviews)I got this headset as a part of Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 11 Bluetooth. It comes with a Bluetooth adapter but if your computer has built in Bluetooth, you do not rally need the adapter. Just pair it with your computer or cell phone or whatever other device like iPod that you may want to use. The headset is very comfortable in the ear.

This headset has only one button, which does all the functions, depending upon how long you press the button. Pressing and holding it for 2 seconds, turns the headset on. Pressing the button and holding it for 4 seconds, turns the headset off. And you turn the microphone on and off by pressing the headset for one second. Pushing the button up and down adjusts the volume. To pair it with another device, you press and hold it for 4-6 seconds until you see the red and blue flashing light. Interestingly, the other devices do not ask to you to put a pin or number while pairing, although on their web site it says 0000 is the code.

With Dragon NaturallySpeaking, it works really well. This review was dictated on Dragon Naturally Speaking.

1.But on Droid cell phone and iPad, there is intermittent background static heard.

2. One of the most annoying thing about the headset is proprietary charging cable. So you have to keep that cable with you to charge the headset. I cannot understand why they do not use the standard micro USB cable for charging.

3. The Bluetooth adapter also has a loose cover with no place to tuck it when adapter is plugged in and it is real easy to lose that cap.

4. Then of course, it is expensive, and you can find far cheaper Bluetooth headsets, if you just need it to work with your phone.

Other than those annoying aspects, I like this Bluetooth headset. It works really well with the Dragon NaturallySpeaking, my Droid phone, and iPad. I use it with Skype on iPad to make phone calls. Microphone is very good but earphones are average. Primarily this headset is for Dragon Naturally Speaking or their Calisto series Bluetooth phone system but it works with other devices like any other Bluetooth headset. So if you bought Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 11 without the headset and you would like to be untethered then this Calisto Bluetooth will work very well.

(More customer reviews)This is my second Ooma Hub.Been using Ooma for about 1.5 years now and love it.Got my second one so my son can have his own phone to take away to college in a few years.The system works where ever it can be connected to the internet.My wife couldn't believe she could make phone calls for free and thought there must be a catch.The original Ooma said free phone calls for life... but they changed the plan this year to require a $12 government regulatory fee after the first year on the new systems sold (old one was grandfathered in).Also, it is a good idea to check to see what phone numbers are available if you don't plan to port your number, since occasionally they are out of numbers in specific zones.Lastly, I had to research if it would work to "power" the whole house by plugging the "phone out" into the wall outlet... but that's exactly what happens.Best to disconnect the line into the house from the phone company if you use cable internet to avoid damage from power surges from the neighborhood telephone lines.

PSI have also used Skype and Magic Jack... this system is the real McCoy!Trust me... Pay a little more upfront and enjoy years of a REAL phone service.

Plantronics DSP-400 Digitally-Enhanced USB Foldable Stereo Headset and Software Review

Pros:
1. Works perfectly with skype--great sound quality both in and out.
2. Hardware controls (volume, mute) work perfectly with Mac
3. No software necessary for Mac
4. Neat folding design
5. Comfortable even for long conversations.
6. Great value (paid less on Amazon then they typically go on eBay)

Cons (relatively minor for me):
1. Even after folding, kinda bulky if you will be traveling with them a lot.
2.Wish the wires werent so long--too long for the average user--perhaps making them prone to damage?
3. Plantronics used to include a nice case, BUT NO CASE INCLUDED ANYMORE (at least as sold on Amazon)
4. One minor glitch (?) with Mac is that the headphones revert to "mute" whenever first plugged in or computer is restarted.

All in all, the best wired headset available for the Mac and skype.

Sennheiser PC 166 Binaural Multimedia/Gaming Headset with Noise-Canceling Microphone Review

(More customer reviews)So I work on a video conferencing product as my day job, so I have been through a fair few headsets at this point.My last pair was a plantronics dsp 500, before that I had a series of logitech usb headsets.So, here is my 2p:

This headset is quite good- i have a pair of grado 225s that soundwise blow away anything with a microphone attached- but this is one of the better sounding headsets i have tried for awhile (i listen to music- not gaming).The sound level on the cans is a little quiet, it could use a little amplification- but all in all they the sound you do get is excellent- very even across all frequencies, as you would expect from sennheiser.The microphone sound is good, low noise, very good for conferencing.There is a manual volume control and an on/off switch, and it does come with a nice little spool to wind up your cord into (no auto wind unfortunately).

One other thing to note here is that this is a usb dongle with a sennheiser headset, so you could theoretically use this dongle with other non-usb headsets-

In comparison to what else is out there I would take this one over the plantronics sets any day- my first set of plantronics were defective (one speaker was broken)- amazon graciously replaced them- and my second plantronics had a horrible microphone buzz, and the headset sounded generally muddy when used for listening to music.Also, even the portable plantronics are hard to haul around because of the bulky dsp component that is attached to the cable- it creates a cable snarl wherever it goes.

The other sets I have used, the logitechs (all different types), have all fallen apart in some way, including wires falling out, ear pieces falling off, losing fuzzy parts, etc- and the audio playback was mediocre at best, though the microphone was ok- you get what you pay for and if you only want to spend $20 then they aren't bad-

Anyhow I hope that helps someone else trying to make the same decision- there are a number of other gaming oriented headsets out there I haven't tried yet- so ymmv- but i would take the sennheisers over the plantronics at this point.
