10.2-Inch Flip-Down Monitor
Your video will come alive on the OHM1075VD, which features a brilliant 10.2-inch flip-down TFT LCD screen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It's capable of both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios, features NTSC and PAL support, and offers a wide viewing angle for multiple viewers. It flips down to a maximum angle of 150 degrees, and color, contrast, brightness and tint/hue are all adjustable.
DVDs and More
The built-in DVD drive supports DVDs, CDs, and MP3/WMA or MPEG1/2/4 files burned to a CD-R/RW Disc.
Standard DVD features are included, of course, such as multi-angle/multi-sound functions, or subtitle support.
Wireless Entertainment
Thanks to the built-in IR transmitter for IR wireless headphones, you can enjoy your entertainment without a mess of cables. Two wireless headphones are included.
An IR remote is also included, for controlling the show without reaching up to adjust things.
Expandability
The OHM1075VD's built-in audio/video (A/V) connectors allow you to add multiple A/V sources. Features two inputs, for use with various external devices such as video game systems.

(More customer reviews)I have had Clarion car audio in the past, but have never owned or seen the Clarion overhead DVD players/monitor.

In the beginning I researched overhead DVD players/monitors ranging from, Jenson, Audiovox, Insignia, and Clarion.The Jenson, Audiovox, and Insignia all looked and felt very cheap. I had also read reviews that many of the Audiovox players would break or just stop working after a few weeks. The picture quality of Jenson, Audiovox, Insignia just did not compare to the Clarion. Due to this and the reviews I have seen on the other 3 players led to my decision to purchase the Clarion.

I picked up my Clarion OHM875VD for $499 @ Frys electronics.The installers did an excellant job installing the DVD player into my Crew Cab Silverado.I do recommend purchasing the additional hardwired FM Modulator. This will allow the DVD players sound to be directly heard through your car/truck radio speakers and is close to CD sound quality. Much better than using a cheap wireless FM modulator. Overall with installation, the FM modulator, and DVD player ended up costing me around $570.

(More customer reviews)I bought this July 6th 2010. I was leary of the size, quality & lack of any reviews on anything car video. I got it in @ 3 days in a box filled w/ packing, unmarred, & no issues with the monitor or dvd to this date. I will update.

After unboxing it all the way up until it was installed I thought it may be too big and would be too close for the kids. It fits perfectly between the headrests & right behind the overhead light in my Expedition. Kids absolutely love it, picture quality is great, and I can't wait to tailgate with it after I get an external antenna.

FYI
*You will wanna keep the overhead light if possible because there is no door light just manual switches & it sets it back far enough when flipped down that it is not in the front seats vision.
*The bundle with the 2 IR headsets W/ transmitter is a good deal. You do not need the transmitter though as the Monitor already has one built. Reason I put this in is I did not read that on the box for some reason, until about 30 mins of trying to figure out how to wire in and mount (hide) the ugly transmitter did I finally notice it on the box (friend of mine read it & I felt stupid)
*There are no speakers on this unit you must use FM Modulator or Headsets

Installation
Here is what I did to install it if you are interested. I tried looking for something like this before I started but couldn't find anything anywhere. It was a fairly easy install and will save you a small bundle if you got some mechanical ability and a helping hand. Hope this helps.

Removed headliner, centered & riveted a metal mounting plate across 2 roof beams, used expanding foam on plate to reduce noise, robbed power from the overhead lights, cut small hole just right of mouting plate in headliner to drop power cord, reinstalled headliner & secured manufacturer mounting bracket to mounting plate. Here is my one complaint the screws to mount the montior to the bracket are too small. They should have screw studs attached to the mounting backet so you can nut it up, would have been a hell of a lot easier. I had a friend use 2 hole punches to center it and luckily I got one screw to finally catch. That was the hardest part of the hole project and really didnt need to be that difficult. Those little screws make me a little nervous so I'll eventually replace them bigger self tappers that go through the headliner to the mounting plate. It took me @ 6 hrs to complete and I couldn't be happier.

(More customer reviews)This is a nice player.The discs play well and the screen is great. However the sound is the real problem.The only way to connect it to the cars sound system is via the FM transmitter.This unit will only transmit on one frequency 88.1, so if you are in an area that has a station on that frequency then you can't use the cars stereo for the sound. There is no audio output to hardwire it to the system.This has been a huge frustration for us, I would not recommend installing it.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit on Dec. 19 to prepare for our long hour trip. My kids really had great time on the car as we carried lots of movies and music videos for them.
This unit is very good. I had it installed in my new Mercedes GLK350 for the price of $150 of installation fee.The quality of picture is great. the built-in FM transmitter works perfectly fine. If you have decent sound systems in your vehicle, you will feel like you are sitting in a theater.I recommend to buy this unit over other more expensive ones because it offers you everything you need for a flip down DVD player.
The only problem is the seller never respond to my email when I ask if they have other color for me to choose instead of black color.
I am not sure if I want to do business with this seller again.
